2024 MINI Cooper 5 Door launched – the new F65 is a strong refresh of the F55; 3 and 4 cylinder engines up to 204 PS
The new F65 MINI Cooper 5-Door arrives just a few months after its launch three-door F66 version broke cover in February this year. The more practical MINI will follow in the footsteps of its smaller sibling by undergoing a drastic refresh and will be offered with a choice of internal combustion engines.
According to MINI, the F65 Cooper 5-Door is 4,036 mm long, 1,744 mm wide and 1,464 mm high, slightly larger than its predecessor. F55. Compared to the F66 Cooper 3-Door, the wheelbase is 72 mm longer at 2,567 mm, and the body is 172 mm longer.

The simplified design also eliminates the side windows and visible exhaust pipes, although the clamshell bonnet, pull-style door handles and plastic body cladding continue for the F65. .
The interior of the new Cooper 5 Door is surprisingly identical to the three-door version, with the highlight being the 9.4-inch circular OLED infotainment touchscreen. This is powered by the Android-based MINI 9 Operating System and provides access to vehicle functions and instrumentation.
Other features include a digital voice assistant that can be visualized as a ‘Spike’ and has a fabric covered panel, the latter of which can have different graphics projected onto it with different Modes. optional MINI experience level.
Also familiar are the row of toggle buttons for the gear selector and driving mode, along with the twist-type engine starter. A Qi wireless charger sits underneath and connects the dashboard to a more ergonomic center console thanks to the lack of a traditional gear lever. The F65’s 60:40 folding rear seats can increase luggage capacity from 275 liters to 925 liters.
As always, customers will have a variety of bespoke equipment options to choose from, including four trim levels (Essential, Classic, Favored and JCW Trim) that affect the exterior and interior. Aerodynamic wheel designs in 16- and 18-inch sizes are also available.
In terms of powertrain, the Cooper C variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter B38 turbocharged inline three-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 156 kW (154 kW or 115 kW) and 230 kW of torque. Nm, suitable for 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 8 hours. seconds and a maximum speed of 225 km/h.
