New generation MG 3 is a huge redesign of Australia’s favorite light vehicle, equipped with an available hybrid powertrain, a completely new look and a massively expanded list of safety equipment.

While the upcoming MG 3 doesn’t even have the option of automatic emergency braking, every new MG 3 will come standard with safety features – along with blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist and warning vehicle cutting across the rear.

The MG 3 is by far the best-selling car in its segment, with a market share of 43.3% by 2023. It remains to be seen whether it can maintain this position against its next-generation rivals. new or not.
It’s now priced much closer to its main rivals, with a basic manual Mazda2 discount it.
However, when comparing the base MG 3 with its automatic-equipped rivals, it still falls short of them. For example, the cheapest Mazda 2 car costs $24,870 before on-road costs.
The cheapest hybrid also costs less than entry level Toyota Yaris hybrid equals $510. Toyota is no longer the only hybrid model in its segment with the arrival of the MG 3 Hybrid+, the cheapest electric car in Australia.

Service and warranty
MG Australia offers a seven-year, unlimited kilometer warranty on its range of vehicles, including the new MG 3.
Hybrid models also come with a 7-year, unlimited-mileage warranty for the high-voltage battery system, but you need to read the content carefully if you plan to drive this car for commercial purposes.
All versions come with a seven-year roadside assistance package.
The brand also has a seven-year price-capped service plan. Maintenance intervals are 12 months or 10,000km – whichever comes first.
