2023 BMW Motorrad M1000R in Malaysia, RM158,500

Currently, Malaysia has a naked sports model BMW Motorrad M1000R 2023, priced at RM 158,500. M1000R joins RM108,500 S1000R in BMW Motorrad’s Malaysian motorcycle lineup and prices are on the road excluding insurance.

As BMW’s ‘M’ designation suggests, the M1000R’s liquid-cooled inline-four is tuned to be more powerful than its ‘S’ mate. The M1000R hits 205 hp at 13,750 rpm, compared to 165 hp at 11,000 rpm for the base model S1000R.

The torque figures are similar, with the M1000R hitting 113 Nm at 11,000 rpm while the S1000R hit 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. The redline on the M1000R is set at 14,600 rpm, taking advantage of shorter ratios in the top three gears.

For the right equipment, the M1000R receives a list of specifications based on the components fitted to the device. super motorcycle M1000RR. This includes lighter M forged wheels, M sport seats, M Endurance chains and a lightweight lithium-ion battery.

M brake calipers are also standard equipment, 320 mm dual disc brake calipers at the front wheel. M winglets from the M1000RR are also fitted, providing greater downforce and increased aerodynamic stability while reducing the tendency to skid.

The M1000R is available in Malaysia with one color option – Lightwhite/M Motorsport. A three-year warranty against manufacturing defects is provided as well as a three-year roadside assistance program.
