Light-alloy wheels are used on the M1000R, and opting for the M Competition package gets you M wheels in carbon fiber. The M Competition package, available in Blackstorm Metallic or M Motorsport colors, also comes with a carbon fiber rear wheel, front wheel, trunk lid and chain guard, airbox cover, spoiler, M pillion package and table so that the M driver’s feet are fully adjustable.
Suspension is done with upside-down forks up front with a black finish for the 45 mm diameter slide with adjustable preload springs combined with Dynamic Damping Control (DDC). The upper triple clamp is a piece crafted to hold the handlebars larger in diameter than the standard S1000R, laser engraved with the words “BMW M 1000 R”.
