2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks, Predictions, Fields, Odds: Fading Top PGA Expert Jordan Spieth This Week

The PGA Tour returns to its normal schedule this week as the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023 begins Thursday on California’s Monterey Peninsula. The first tee shot is at 11:30 a.m. ET. This will be another multi-course exam, with each golfer facing Spyglass Hill and the Monterey Peninsula once each. Pebble Beach will host two rounds, including a finale on Sunday. Three-time major champion Jordan Spieth and defending US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick lead a 156-player field that will be joined by an equal number of amateurs. Tom Hoge returns to defend his only PGA Tour title, which he won last year after overtaking Spieth on the last three holes and beating him by two strokes.

The latest 2023 Pebble Beach Pro-Am odds from Caesars Sportsbook have Spieth (9-1), Fitzpatrick (10-1) and Hovland (10-1) leading the seven under-priced golfers 30-1. Hoge is ranked 17-1, behind only Maverick McNealy (16-1) and ahead of Seamus Power (19-1) and Justin Rose (24-1), in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am 2023 field. any of the options for the 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, make sure you See PGA Tour predictions and best bets from SportsLine golf insider Patrick McDonald.

McDonald’s takes a deliberate approach to its outright options and is having a profitable 2022-2023 season. He nailed it at the Farmers’ Insurance Open last week, backing Max Homa (25-1) as his top pick. The expert also just missed a bold 130-1 score at the Sony Open when Hayden Buckley finished as runner-up. He hit another 25-1 hit at the Houston Open, knocking out Tony Finau for a 25-1 win.

McDonald’s has raised more than 33 units this season, with a profit of more than $3,300 for those who bet $100. He has also cashed in on his head-to-head matches and made a lot of money thanks to Brendan Steele (80-1) as a first-round lead at the Zozo Championship. The professional ended the 2021-22 season with 42 units of his total, including a 250-1 monster payout to Hudson Swafford at The American Express. Anyone who follows McDonald’s advice benefits.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Expert’s Top Pick of 2023

A great prediction from McDonald’s: Spieth’s impressive race at Pebble Beach is coming to an end. The 29-year-old won the 2017 Pebble Beach Pro-Am and has five other top 10 finishes in 10 appearances, including the previous three. However, McDonald’s says Spieth is “an easy pass” at these odds. Spieth’s contradictions were clearly summed up in his final game, when he opened Sony with a 64 and lead, then hit 75 and had to pack up early. He hasn’t made it into the top 10 in the first three events of this season and is 147th in point average.

Meanwhile, Hovland is the epitome of consistency, which is why the 25-year-old is among the favorites. The young Norwegian capped 2022 with a second win in the World Hero Challenge in December. In his four official events in 2022-23, he has twice made the top 10 and never has finished lower than 21st. Hovland played Pebble Beach twice and finished 12th at the 2019 US Open. In Pro-Am 2020, he made it to the final round of the top 15 but shot 77 on Sunday to 38th. Now he’s 20th on the tour in average and seventh in birdie average (5.06 per round).
