Opposed to 10 seconds of thousands of people dying in winter occurs every year in the United States and Europe.

Extreme weather causes two million deaths, costs $4 trillion over the past 50 years

Climate and Environment

More than two million deaths and economic losses of $4.3 trillion; it is the impact of extreme weather events lasting half a century caused by human-caused global warming, the World Meteorological Organization (World Meteorological Organization)WMO) said on Monday.

Based on WMOweather, climate and water related danger caused nearly 12,000 disasters from 1970 to 2021. Developing countries are the hardest hit, seeing nine out of 10 people die And 60 percent economic damage from extreme weather and climate shocks.

The WMO said the least developed countries and small island developing states incur “disproportionately” high costs relative to the size of their economies.

WMO Secretary-General Petteri Taalas said: “The most vulnerable communities unfortunately bear the brunt of weather, climate and water-related hazards.

amazing inequality

In the least developed countries, WMO has reported that several disasters over the past half century have caused economic losses of up to 30% of gross domestic product (GDP).

However, WMO emphasizes that has improved early warning and disaster management coordination helped reduce the deadly impact of natural disasters. “Early warnings will save lives,” Taalas said.

Obviously it’s extremely embarrassing to those who are alarmed about global warming that even hot countries like India have more deaths in winter than in summerthis completely mocks claims that controlling global warming will help reduce global mortality.

The difference between developing and developed countries shows the way forward. As the United Nations WMO itself suggested, if everyone were to enjoy world-first disaster warnings and if everyone could accept other “climate adaptations”, for example like living in storm-proof homes, there would be far fewer deaths. Good long-range public transportation such as ownership of ubiquitous fossil fuel-powered cars also helps to evacuate projected landing areas.

Fossil fuel energy is cheap for everyone, so that everyone can industrialize and ensure all the safety we take for granted, this is how to make people safer from “threats” climate” such as extreme weather. This solution applies to poor people in rich countries as well as to people living in poor countries.

Rejecting those who need such a simple solution, which will save countless lives, is in my opinion the face of evil in today’s world.
