13 must-know Lightroom cheat codes if you want to improve your editing

Lightroom is starting to profit Photoshop as a standalone editing tool. Here, learn 13 essential Lightroom cheat codes you must know if you want to improve your post-production skills.

Today is another proof for me that Lightroom is no longer a clunky cousin that tags along with Photoshop in Adobe’s photography package. I took some photos last week of my daughter in Japan and today, I edited them all in Lightroom. I can’t remember ever doing that, but my Lightroom usage has grown exponentially over the past year, simply because Adobe continues to add more and more amazing new features. But with that comes the need to learn more, especially all the little tips and tricks you might not know about that can really improve your workflow.

And that brings us to this great video by Mark Denney, in which he introduces 13 Lightroom cheat codes to know, especially helpful for beginners. I really liked his reminder about how good it is to use Solo Mode. All of the different panels in Lightroom’s Evolve Module have increased recently due to the weight of new features, which means increasingly scrolling down to find the different sliders, and oftentimes. lost in the quagmire. With Solo Mode, that problem is eliminated with a simple right-click. Brilliant. There’s a lot more here, so watch the video and let me know what you think.
