My first car was an anemic 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix SE coupe. It packed a slow 3100 V6 engine mated to an even slower automatic transmission powering the front wheels. It’s overwhelming, but it looks like hell. Back in high school, I would take that car to local towing spots for test runs and tune-ups on Friday nights to see if I could beat my friends. I don’t remember how many times I ran, but they were so embarrassed slow. But with this car, found on eBay, I can atone for yourself.

Apparently this car shares very little with my old Grand Prix. The biggest difference is that it’s a tubular race car complete with a Chevy 413 . The large front-mounted block powers the rear wheels. So much of the original Grand Prix was removed from this car that it now weighs just 2,000 pounds and produces around 845 horsepower.

The dyno sheet is included in the car’s listing, but no show times from 1320. It’s a shame, because I want to see how deep a car like this can really go. Surely it’s running number nine, isn’t it? It’s correct?

If you want to buy this car for yourself, and completely dominate one or two Radwood eventsGo check out the list above eBay and make a bid or two. Of course, you might have to fight me for it.
