Nintendo has been and continues to promote online and competitive play in a number of major titles, although it has yet to be successful and attract a lot of attention. Specially through Nintendo Versus exposition it highlights frequent contests in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon 2especially.
The next MK8 Deluxe North American Open has got a little extra promotion from the broader Nintendo of America account, sure to tap into expectations for this week’s DLC release via the ‘Booster Course Pass’.
Like previous competitions of its kind, it takes place through the official ‘Tournament’ setup in the game and is open to North American players 13 years of age and older only. There will be three opportunities to compete, with the entire tournament consisting of 24 races; amazing $25 prizes to spend on eShop.
The race takes place over 3 days:
– March 25, 2022 12pm Pacific Time – 6pm Pacific Time
– March 26, 2022 12pm Pacific Time – 6pm Pacific Time
– March 27, 2022 12 noon Pacific Time – 6pm PT
