Ronda Rousey known for throwing heavy hits, but this week on SmackDownshe did it with words instead of holding hands.
Welcome back to another round of SmackDown, this time including the June 24 edition of the show featuring brutal insults from the SmackDown Women’s champion, the return of The Viking Raiders and two opponents Competitors must re-qualify for Money in the Bank.
Here’s a quick recap of the match results:
– Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura through pinfall to qualify for the men’s Money in the Bank match
– Raquel Rodriguez and Lacey Evans defeated Sonya Deville through the peg after Evans hit the Feminist on their opponent
– Gunther defeated Ricochet through pinfall to hold the Intercontinental Championship
– Shotzi defeated Tamina through pinfall to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank match
– Sheamus and Drew McIntyre beat The Usos for the final spot in the men’s Money in the Bank match
Moment of the night: Rousey on the microphone
Natalya impersonated Ronda Rousey in front of MITB and had to pay the price
Natalya comes to Friday Night SmackDown as Money in the Bank and Ugliest Woman competitor, Ronda Rousey.
This is the moment of the night for two reasons.
First, Ronda brought the garbage that talked about heat. Said she didn’t notice Natalya without her stand and adding, “the closest thing you’ll get to being a major attraction in this company is to dress like me” is barbaric.
The second reason this is so interesting is that Nattie (in Rousey costume) uses a trolley as a weapon.
Her impressions were interesting enough, but this photo seen below from the BOAT is actually the icing on the cake.
Haters may say the segment isn’t great, but in my opinion the whole thing has worked in garnering more interest in their match.
Best Match: Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Sami Zayn punches tickets to Money in the Bank vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Sami Zayn and Shinsuke went head-to-head with SmackDown on Friday night for their chance to officially claim a spot in the Banker Ladder Money Match.
You will never get a bad match from these two opponents. Dating back to the NXT, you can always count on these two to impress.
Even for a short period of time, this is the easy match of the night
Additional highlights:
Viking Raiders return as a heel.
This attitude change is urgently needed. Their goofy babyface personalities ran its course. This suits them much better.
Pat McAfee challenges Happy Corbin to a game at SummerSlam.
This will be an interesting program.

Pat McAfee called Baron Corbin on Friday Night SmackDown, officially challenging him to a SummerSlam match.
The lingering question: Why did Drew and Sheamus have to ask for Money in the Bank?
It didn’t make any sense for Drew and Sheamus to be withdrawn from the match, but they were still given the chance to regain their spot immediately.
The whole thing is like filling up as other competitors from SmackDown have yet to be confirmed to join the match.
The card’s main event is fun, but the logic of getting there leaves me scratching my head.
The Usos facing Drew McIntyre and Sheamus before Money in the Bank
Drew McIntyre and Sheamus teamed up on Friday Night SmackDown to face Jimmy and Jey Uso in a tag team showdown against Money in the Bank.
