Srisunaklua, described as a teacher, then picked up one of the dead bats and tore it apart before dipping the meat in a sauce called Nim Jam.
In the viral video, she tells viewers this is her first time eating bats and adds that she bought the protected species from a market near the Laos border in northern Thailand.
She went on to praise the unsettling dish, describing the soup as “delicious” while comparing the texture to raw meat.

The head of the wildlife health management team at the National Park Service, Wildlife and Plant Conservation said he was “shocked” by the viral clip and noted that eating bats caused serious risks to human health.

She is currently facing a five-year prison sentence and a $13,800 fine, according to the source.
