And it looks like there’s something wrong with the iOS 15.4 update. Apple acknowledges that in the release notes for iOS 15.4.

I’m curious about that battery drain fix because for me I feel iOS 15.4 is a real improvement over the previous release. I have confirmed that this battery increase is also seen on other iPhone models – from iPhone X to iPhone 12″.
However, my testing of iOS 15.4.1 showed a significant increase in battery life. Up to 30 minutes on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
That’s a significant increase, so it looks like iOS 15.4.1 has delivered a pretty good fix. I’m not sure how many problems happened with iOS 15.4 and how many of them were “dead by a thousand cuts” over time with all the different iOS 15 updates.
Testing I’ve done seems to show that Apple has significantly improved the iPhone’s standby time, and that this update causes the iPhone to use less battery when it’s inactive, as opposed to increasing performance when it’s idle. promote.
This might explain why the battery tests I’ve seen circulating regarding heavy iPhone loads haven’t shown much improvement.
Whatever it is, it seems that Apple has plugged in a sizable amount of leaked batteries with this update.
