Wishing Day in Keeneland on October 13
Make-A-Wish® Day in Keeneland returns for 15 years on Thursday, October 13. Every year, local Thoroughbred farms and organizations partner with Keeneland to grant wishes to children of the region. East Kentucky has a serious illness. The honor-seeking kids and their families are treated as a race day VIP experience and receive a trophy and meet the racehorses after each race. In 15 years, Make-A-Wish Day at Keeneland has raised more than $1.1 million for Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, enough to make over 110 wishes come true! This year’s children’s honor wishes include:
–Boone, 4, from Barbourville –Cassidy, 13, from Crestwood
–Charlie, 3, from Lexington –Colin, 11, from Shelbyville
–Elliott, 6 years old from Mt. Sterling –Ezekiel, 6 years old from Harrodsburg
–Jackson, 18 years old, from Paris –Karys, 17 years old, from Georgetown
–Luke, 13 years old, from Carlisle –Rusty, 6 years old, from Cattlesburg
