Triumph also announced that the company will have a factory-supported racing program under an all-new Triumph Racing banner, which will now include all of Triumph’s racing-related activities, including racing. While breaking into FIM Motocross is new to Triumph, Triumph engines are not new to FIM. Since the start of the 2019 season, Triumph has been the exclusive engine supplier for the FIM Moto2 World Championship, supplying all teams with a 765cc tricycle tuned based on the Street Triple RS. The success of the Triumph engine in Moto2 is evident in its top speed records and 11 all-time lap records.
