And though she’s admitted in the past that she gets tired of hearing this line so often, make no mistake: Coolidge is grateful for her contribution. “The first most frustrating lesson I learned on set was when I went to work Legit Blondeand there’s an actor – a TV actor I’ve seen on TV, a funny guy – and he’s a valet [for the studio]. And I remember thinking, we have to be grateful,” she said Limit line. “I was thinking, I can make this movie here, and then it can go back to waitressing. Nothing is written in stone.”
She continued, “So I remember thinking it was a privilege to get this job. I thought, God, you really have to be grateful in this business. It’s been a rollercoaster ride of being an actor and we have to be thrilled to get these jobs, because sometimes they don’t come back for a long time. Or never.”
