I knew as soon as I saw the shape with the actual mushrooms drawn by our mother, it all came together. In my head, I said, “Wow, this is going to be a special dress.” There’s something about the simplicity with which the design can reflect the organism. I can say as a designer it’s a rare occurrence where I feel like there’s a really interesting, cohesive, creative connection that can happen between silhouette, design , textures, inspiration, prints.
I feel in a way it all aligns and I know it’s special.
