Pope, who made some of the highest dollar purchases last night at the Stars Night Sale in Fasig-Tipton, is back in Keeneland and ready to open his wallet for the mare.
“(Price) is about where I think she will be. Would be a very nice person (about whom she intends to raise her). As always, for the right horses, it’s tough but it does. There are also soft spots. We tried to sell one but failed,” Pope said.
With the world championship being held at the same venue just two days ago, Pope said it was difficult to find the time to go out to the mall to see the horses.
“It (the market) wakes up a little later in the day. It’s too quiet this morning. A lot of us don’t have much time to do a lot of shopping with Breeders’ Cups and it’s all stacked up on top of each other. . This makes it difficult for some buyers.”
