Where US Covid mask regulations still apply, following federal ruling


With no more federal Covid mask regulations on planes and other forms of public transportation, you may be wondering: Where do I still have to wear a face covering?

CDC currently recommending Mask-wearing guidelines vary for different communities across the country, based on the agency’s calculations of transmission and risk. If you live in a low-risk area, the CDC says, “wear a mask based on your personal preferences, informed by your individual risk level.”

In intermediate-risk areas, the CDC specifically recommends that immunocompromised individuals wear a mask indoors. The agency said that in high-risk areas, everyone should “wear a full face mask while indoors, regardless of immunization status or personal risk.”
