It’s time to jump into the back camera: the USFL is back and the schedule will begin soon.
The USFL has gone the way of the other infamous ’80s – hair ties, foot warmers, VCRs – but unlike most things that have since gone extinct from the decade of greed, the famous football league and Long standing is making a comeback this year.
For those greedy for new football, the new effort features a host of teams from the league’s original iteration, and for its return season, every game will be played in Birmingham, Ala. into this year.

USFL 2022 fixtures
The first game of the 2022 USFL season will come your way Saturday, April 16, 2022 in 7:30 p.m. ET.
While the rest of the schedule is yet to be revealed, the season will run from mid-April to mid-June, with games airing on both Saturday and Sunday. There will be 43 games across the board in total: 40 regular season games, two division championship games and the USFL championship match.
Some special broadcasts will also air every Monday and Friday.

USFL 2022 playoff schedule
Following the conclusion of the regular season in mid-June, three knockout games will be held: Two division championship games and a USFL championship match.
The knockout stage will pit the top two teams of each group against each other, with the winner moving on to the championship match.
How to watch USFL games
The tournament’s owner and operator, Fox, is the tournament’s official broadcast partner. The games will be distributed on Fox, FS1, NBC and USA Network.
Of the 40 games, 20 will be broadcast over the air (Fox and NBC), 19 will be broadcast on cable (FS1, US), and four will be broadcast via Peacock.
The game will also be streamed via Peacock, NBC’s exclusive streaming service.
