I’ll be playing Pokémon Scarlet for the most part this weekend. I have not gone very far; I defeated two Gym Leaders, two Giant Pokémon, and a Star Crew leader, despite being immersed in the game for a few hours. I’m having a lot of fun roaming around the world of Paldea, but that means I’ve leveled up considerably in many areas!
Elsewhere, I’m actually replaying it all Gears of War games on my Series X. I really love that series and even the first few entries work great. It’s a good way to blow off steam, at least!

With all the Black Friday sales starting this week, I’m keeping an eye on something new to play with. My eShop wish list is now bursting with beautiful titles, many of which are on hot sale. Both Golf Story and Messenger is calling me at the moment, and with such large savings, is it really a weekend? two new games??
In fact, the answer is probably no. I stupidly started playing A path to the past on Switch’s SNES library this week and I can’t put it down. I’m a total Zelda fan and LTTP is one of those games that draws me in every time I play it for ‘just five minutes’. Here we go again, I guess…

(*sad, with failure in her voice*) Pokémon Scarlet. So far it’s… all right? But I knew it was going to get worse as I continued. It feels very safe, as well. Most of the Pokémon I come across are old ones and look like Sword and Shield, but sunnier. I know it’s my fault if I entered this game with low expectations, but still I am.
Also, Vampire Survivor on my shiny new Steam Deck! And A Little Left! And shaking dog! And dishonest! It was a busy weekend.

It’s Pokémon weekend! Although I’ve spent a lot of time on Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, I’ll be back to learn more. I have a lot of in-game stuff to explore, items to find, and lots of Pokédex to fill. I can’t believe I still looking for new areas, trainers I missed, etc. One thing that I didn’t mention in my review is the fact that I caught three shiny Pokémon, which means I thought I might be developing a taste for shiny hunting…
If not, I maybe will be joining the eShop Black Friday sale this weekend. Because I really need more games to sit still on my Switch, haven’t played.

It was Pokémon Scarlet & Violet weekend so I was just trying to pretend to fit in with the rest of the party, who were all excited for the new Spanish/Portuguese-influenced regions to explore. Break and new Pokémon to pokinate (?). With both NieR: Automatic machine and bayonet 3 still doing weekend rounds, I’ll need to make space for the ridiculously addictive stuff loop hero and decompression, two of my recent physical visits. Less talk about my current skills at Arkanoid: Eternal Battle better. I’m afraid I’m a bit addicted too Orbital bullets.
Game of the week is moon. Don’t let the fake PS1 polygons fool you, it’s a modern-day platform masterpiece thanks to its precise controls and smooth frame rates. Are you taking notes, Sonic Frontiers?
