Week 13 Virtual Defensive Leaderboard: Who Starts, Sits D/ST in Fantasy Football
Week 13 marks the point in the season when injuries can really wreak havoc on our imaginary defensive rankings. Sleepers can quickly surface based on primary assault injuries, while regular solid D/STs can plummet based on who they’re missing. We’ve seen it happen to the Steelers this year, and we know it’s going to happen more often in the near term.
We’re losing some solid D/ST because of that stuff this week, as the Packers, Panthers, Titans, and Browns have all been on the fantasy roster pretty regularly, at least recently. However, getting rid of most of these bugs will be more help than pain, as only the Panthers are “exploitable” D/ST opponents.
WEEK 13 STANDARD RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | Kicker
We covered the Steelers earlier, and they continued to knock the leaderboards down with a game against Raven. Pittsburgh still has enough talent to put on a big play or two, but it’s hard to make the list, never mind let’s start it this week. The Patriots (@Bills), Broncos (@Chiefs), Saints (vs Cowboys) and Bengals (vs Chargers) are other notable D/STs with particularly tough games this week. We’ll stick with the Patriots for their high floors and ceilings, but the rest should stay on the couch. A couple of weeks ago we said stick with the Broncos, but Kansas City seems to have worked out some of its offensive woes, and we know Andy Reid will be lethal in goodbye, especially in at home.
WEEK 13 PPR RANKING:
Midfielder | Run back | Wide receiver | Tight ending | Kicker
If you need an extra streamer to your lineup, the Dolphins (vs Giants), Vikings (@ Lions), Chiefs (vs Broncos), Giants (@Dolphins) and Raiders (vs Washington) are all playing. Giants and Raiders are your high-risk “boom or bust” options if you think you’ll need big points, but the other three should have pretty solid tiers. We wouldn’t have said that about the Chiefs even a couple of weeks ago, but with a total attack score of just 47 allowed in the past four games – plus 11 sacks and seven lessons in that span – Thanh Kansas City is back on the map smoothly. matches like this.
Overall, lots of good D/ST this week. Of course, not all will be fine, but at least you should feel good about your defense before Sunday. Playing games – and looking at injury reports – is especially important at this point in the season, and choosing the right defense can make the difference between winning titles or being relegated in competitions. take the DFS in the last few weeks of the season. .
Note: We’ll be updating this D/ST leaderboard throughout the week, so check back for the latest analysis and player movements.
