Next week marks the 30th anniversary Kirby franchise, so we should feel celebratory! Instead, we still start through latest gameBiggest annoyance: Waddle Doo isn’t in it. So let’s talk about Waddle Doo and why they are the best so that HAL and Nintendo won’t forget next time.
Unrivaled utility
Most of Kirby players, when they think of Waddle Doo, most probably think of Beam. That makes sense! It’s one of the franchise’s longest-running strengths and one that you never mind coming across. The beam can hit at long distances. The beam can strike at an angle. Oops, Beam can shoot from the other side of the screen! Individuals may have another favorite power-up, but getting the Beam never causes a groan or sigh. It will do what you need, whatever happens. – Graham
Charming design
Waddle Doo is the best Kirby characters because their character design is incredible. Waddle Dee? Looks a lot like Kirby or Meta Knight. Awoofy? It was just a dog. (I mean, a cute dog, for sure.) Waddle Doos has personality. Their eyes are extremely expressive. They’re like Kirby and all, but unique enough to be their own individual. Plus, whether it’s a jester hat or a nightcap, Waddle Doos also picks up a few headgear. – Jenny
Although not much Kirby fans, I can even recognize my Waddle Dee and Waddle Doo, and I’ve always thought that of the two, Waddle Doo is cuter. Why? As Jenni mentioned, it’s the eye. It does all the work of a full-featured face but only has a single sphere for contemplation. – Josh
Waddle Dee is boring
We’ve been hitting around the bush here, so I’ll just say: Waddle Dees isn’t worth the attention. Why? They are nothing. They are empty stones. To make a Waddle Dee interesting, you must wear a bandana or mustache. Or give it a parasol or something. An accessory is not a personality! But Waddle Doo, though? Waddle Doo is shown as a leader and organizer. Waddle Doo worked hard and showed a tired expression. And Waddle Doo doesn’t forget the world and its trials.
That doesn’t mean Waddle Dees should go away altogether! But are you telling me you need a 300th before a Waddle Doo? I do not believe that. – Graham
