VW Scout electric SUV, reservations by Rivian, Foxconn, Fisker and Lordstown: Car News Today

With the completion of the sale of a former GM plant in Ohio to Hon Hai Technology Corporation — also known as Foxconn, the contract manufacturer of the iPhone — Lordstown Endurance electric pickup in production later this year. That also re-plans for Foxconn to act as a contract manufacturer for $29,900 Fisker Pear EV starting in 2024.
Volkswagen confirms that it is resurrecting the Scout name — yes, the former International Harvester SUV — for entire brand of electric SUVs aimed at the US Could this be what keeps VW going strong with mass-market electric vehicles or will it be another premium niche brand?
Rivian’s price hike in March – and the resulting uproar from early adopters – only seems to add to the appeal of its electric trucks. Since the price increase, Rivian has 10,000 new bookings– doubled the number of trucks produced since September – with a sky-high average price of $93,000.
