Volkswagen SST 2022 price: Tiguan Allspace increased by RM5.5k, Passat to RM7k, Golf R increased by RM33k
Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has announced new prices for its models following the end of the sales and service tax (SST) exemption on June 30, 2022. As well as other car companies in Here, the prices of car models have increased after the tax holiday.
Starts with Tiguan Allspace, the basic Elegance 1.4 now retails at RM180,590, RM5,244.32 higher than before. The range-topping 4Motion 2.0 R-Line also gained RM5,546.41 without SST exemption at RM226,073.60.
Next, Arteon offered only in a single 2.0 R-Line 4Motion variant currently priced at RM68,012, or RM9,922.70 less than before. The Passat range also rises to RM 7,073.12 for the top-of-the-line 2.0 R-Line, with the 2.0 Elegance having a smaller increase of RM5,331.85.
For Golf, the 1.4 CHEAP Series no official price yet – estimated range is from RM155k to RM165k. However, we have new rates for performance-focused activity GTI and Rs, with the latter currently selling for RM3,300.46 more at RM216,012. The Golf R’s price increase is the highest in the series, currently priced at RM391,162, RM33,577.15 more than Initial launch price RM357,584.85.
