Virtual Abandonment Wire: FAAB Report for Week 15 Picks, Free Dealers

If you’re reading this, we’ll assume you’ve made it to your fantasy football knockout round. Congratulations. Now, it’s time to win, and that starts with parsing through Week 15’s top exemption rope picks and finding the right ones for your team. Because all that matters at this point is survival and growth, you can almost eliminate the expected FAAB bids below. If you need RB, bid what you have to get Rashaad Penny or Justin Jackson or Joshua Kelley. You don’t want to spend a lot of money on a WR like KJ Osborn or Gabriel Davis, but you can certainly splurge on them, too. The same goes for a QB like Tagovailoa or Jimmy Garoppolo. Sure, you’ll want some of your budget or high abandonment requirements if you’re going to advance to the next round, but you have to get there first.

Week 15 Fantasy Football FAAB Tips: Waivers of QB, Streamers

Tua Tagovailoa (MIA). Tassel won’t break the charts in any way, but he does provide a pretty good deck for most of the week. The Dolphins host the Jets after the goodbye, so they’ll get a good rest. Tagovailoa can easily pass for about 250 yards and a few touchdowns, especially when you factor in the number of backruns that were on the sub/COVID list for Miami. It’s hard to imagine him making a brief appearance on this game, so he might be the best live streamer if you’re trying to plan a backup in case of Lamar Jackson (ankle) or another QB not playing this week. Expected FAAB bid: 6-8% of the total FAAB . budget

Jimmy Garoppolo (SF). If you’re not sold on Tagovailoa, then be sure to hit Jimmy G this week. Garoppolo has had more touchdown passes in five of his past six games, and he has 300 yards in each of his past two games. He provides a similar safety net to the Tua, and the 49ers will have a favorable matchup against the Falcons. Atlanta’s defenses are nothing to write home about, and armed with Jimmy G, he can certainly overcome them and get you to the semi-finals in his tournament(s). Proj. FAAB Bid: 5-6%

Justin Fields (CHI). I have to say, I had no interest in streaming this guy last week, but if you got smarter and played him, then congratulations. Passing numbers are still of interest, as his accuracy isn’t great, but he runs enough to be able to make up for shortfalls in passing. For the first time in his career, he threw multiple touchdowns into the Green Bay net and added 74 yards. I don’t trust him as much as Tagovailoa or Garoppolo, but the game against Minnesota is in the spotlight. The Vikings have quick passes, but they are also prone to bleeding and scoring. Proj. FAAB Bid: 4%

Week 15 Fantasy Football FAAB advice: Ditch RB pickups, transmitters

Rashaad Penny (SEA). Penny could be the most sought-after player this week. In Week 13 against the 49ers, he was more involved late in the game. That extends to Week 14. He’s only been on the field for 35 seconds, but that’s more than Alex Collins (14) and DeeJay Dallas (11). Penny dashed more than 130 yards and found the end twice. Seattle has a tough game in Week 15 against the Rams, but if you can survive that, Penny’s schedule will wrap up well in Weeks 16 and 17 against the Bears and Lions. Expected FAAB bid: 40% of total FAAB budget

Malcolm Brown (MIA). As it stands on Tuesday morning, Myles Gaskin, Salvon Ahmed and Phillip Lindsay are all on the COVID/reserve list. Lindsay landed there on Monday afternoon while Gaskin and Ahmed tested positive last week. Brown (quad) has returned to training this week and is a player worth watching, but don’t spend too much FAAB on him as it’s entirely possible the Dolphins get Gaskin back this week. If none of the aforementioned reruns are available, then Brown will likely have a decent workload if he does return. Duke Johnson Jr was called up to the active roster and he was also a pick in deeper formats. Proj. FAAB Bid: 5-8%

D’Ernest Johnson (CLE). Kareem Hunt (knee) is unlikely to play against the Raiders next week, so it will be Nick Chubb’s fight against Las Vegas. The Raiders allowed a run of more than 120 yards, and they dropped three hasty touches on Sunday against the Chiefs. If Cleveland can comfortably shelve this game then Johnson will likely see more touches in the second half. We know Cleveland wants to give Chubb a breather after longer runs, and we’ve seen touches from Chubb on multiple occasions. Johnson is not a player you should lock into your squad unless you are desperate or playing in a deeper league. Proj. FAAB Bid: 5-7%

Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley (LAC). If you’re an Ekeler owner, you should probably look for one of these guys. We don’t have much information regarding Ekeler’s ankle injury, but we do know the Bolts will play on Thursday against the Chiefs. I wouldn’t expect either of these to sniff out the kind of workload or production that Ekeler typically delivers. Not to mention, the Chiefs’ defense has been playing a lot better in the past month or so.. However, if they still have potential value and should be kept. Proj. FAAB Bid: 5%

Craig Reynolds (DET). We’ve all been covered in collective blankets on Sunday when Detroit didn’t lean on Jermar Jefferson (three seconds) or Godwin Igwebuike (28 years old). We know this isn’t a desirable backyard, especially since D’Andre Swift (as) and Jamaal Williams (sub/COVID) are out of action, but Reynolds showed up and played 29 snaps. , ran 83 yards on 11 runs. I don’t like next week’s game against Arizona, but if Detroit again doesn’t have ample weapons, Reynolds could match 10 to 12 touchdowns. Proj. FAAB Bid: 3-4%

Week 15 Fantasy Football FAAB Advice: Waiver of WR receivers, transmitters

Russell Gage (ATL). Gage has emerged as the WR1 in this offense because Calvin Ridley has missed out on dealing with his mental health issues and Kyle Pitts seems to be just hanging out in London. Gage is a good versatile pick in PPR formats although he is not the best candidate to find the end zone. He’s had 33 goals in his past four games, so there’s a good chance here. Expected FAAB bid: 7-9% of the total FAAB budget

KJ Osborn (MIN). With Adam Thielen (ankle) out, Osborn found the finish line for the second straight game, and in that span he now has 16 goals. He only caught seven games, but it was important that he scored in head-to-head matches. If Thielen misses this week’s game against Chicago, Osborn is guaranteed to consider flexibility, especially if he can capitalize on volume and can catch 70% of his target. Proj. FAAB Bid: 7-9%

Gabriel Davis (BUF). Davis is a player I’ve been following since the beginning of the year, and it wasn’t until December that he finally stopped making me look like an idiot. He had a great camp and worked well with Josh Allen, and now he has scored in each of his past two games. If Emmanuel Sanders misses time with a knee injury, Davis will have more of a chance. Proj. FAAB Bid: 7-8%

Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET). With TJ Ho Chickenon (hand), D’Andre Swift (as) and Jamaal Williams (sub/COVID) absent, the ARSB has quickly become one of Jared Goff’s most trusted targets for several weeks. via. The Lions will likely always play from behind against Arizona, so the receiver was able to get through the mass. Josh Reynolds can see 5-6 targets per game, but St. Brown has more and more goals. Proj. FAAB Bid: 7-8%

Donovan Pe People’s-Jones (CLE). In the absence of Odell Beckham Jr, we’ve seen DPJ take on more routes, but production has until Sunday. Against Raven, DPJ captured 5/7 targets in 90 yards, running a route with over 95% of Baker Mayfield kills. Say what you would say about Mayfield’s talent, but if a wide-ranging player intends to run multiple routes in an attacking situation without too many reliable catch options, he’ll probably start the game. fire and become a WR2/WR3 option shortly. Proj. FAAB Bid: 5-6%

FAAB Advice on Fantasy Football Week 15: Unplug TE, transmitters

Austin Hooper (CLE). Last week, Hooper caught 5/7 targets within 30 yards and found the end zone. While Travis Kelce may have had a quiet game against the Raiders last week, Las Vegas still allowed 9 close-ended encounters, so don’t be surprised if Hooper finds the end zone again during the week. this. Expected FAAB bid: 5-6% of the total FAAB budget

Brevin Jordan (HOU). It’s not great when you have to look at the Texans in Week 15, but Jordan hit seven goals last week despite parting ways with Jordan Akins. Jordan also scored. The Texans will face the Jaguars in Week 15, and while the game could be terrible, there are streaming options to match in this game, with Jordan in particular in late spot. Proj. FAAB Bid: 3-4%

James O’Shaughnessy (JAC). O’Shaughnessy had 17 goals in his past three games, but he failed to find the final zone, turning those goals into just nine catches in 63 metres. But as mentioned in the Jordan section, this game has two terrible defenses, so there could be some fantasy production here. Proj. FAAB Bid: 3%
