A puppy named Wheels has been deemed permanently paralyzed by a veterinarian. The doctor said: “There is no surgery to cure it. I think you should destroy him. The news devastated volunteers with Bullies And Buddies Rescue. They refused to put him down!
One of the lifeguards, named Jennifer, explains that despite his disability, Wheels is as fun and playful as he can be! Her words were: This guy is a survivor! Despite the vet’s assessment, Jennifer took it to a neurologist.
The wonderful woman swore to do all she could to help Wheels walk again. So when the neurologist agreed to treatment, Jennifer immediately put him in physical therapy. And Wheels cut off his little tail! When he was finally able to stand on his own, Jennifer said, “He felt like a rock star!”
Despite his progress, the rescue team remains concerned that Wheels may not find a permanent home. Finding a home for the Bully was hard enough and Wheels needed 24-hour care.
