Razer’s annual RazerCon event is a showcase of the company’s latest products to the company’s gaming and streaming customers.
This year’s event included the launch of the highly touted 5G gaming handheld, released in close partnership with Verizon.
It also introduced a range of new keyboards, mice, headsets and accessories, as well as two luxury collaborations.
Razer Edge
Razer teased this portable gaming handheld a few weeks ago, but now it’s revealed almost everything you could possibly want to know about it. Razer calls the Edge “the world’s first 5G gaming device”. While you can argue most 5G smartphone might qualify for that moniker, the Edge was designed from the ground up to be a pure gaming device.

Like Nintendo’s Switch, the Edge comes in two parts: a main unit with a screen and all the necessary internal hardware, and a detachable, modular controller.
It looks a bit like a giant smartphone until you attach one of the control modules. You can also use it alone for touchscreen-based games. Razer
The main device consists of a 6.8-inch AMOLED touchscreen that runs at a resolution of 2,400×1080, with a refresh rate of 144Hz. Razer claims this results in “87% more pixels than competing products.”
At the heart of the Edge is a Snapdragon G3x core with an octa-core Kryo CPU clocked at 3GHz and an Adreno GPU. Razer claims it will deliver “2 to 3 times the speed of standard mobile platforms like Snapdragon 720G.” It also has a built-in 5,000 mAh battery.
This will not only power Android-based games that run locally on the handheld, but also compatible, cloud-based, remote gaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, Nvidia GeForce Now , Steam Link and other services pre-installed on the device.

While the Wi-Fi version of the Razer Edge will ship alone, the 5G version will come with the Kishi V2 Pro controller add-on. The device is similar to previous models designed for smartphone gaming and features physical controls similar to what you’d find on game consoles.
The Wi-Fi version of the Razer edge will be sold exclusively through Razer.com and Razer brick-and-mortar stores for $399.99. The 5G version will be offered exclusively from Verizon, which will provide 5G Ultra Wideband service to connect gamers in the US. Pricing information for the 5G version is expected at a later date.

Razer Blue Screen
The device is designed to sit on the floor and is raised using an accordion-style support system. Razer
Razer is expanding its streaming peripherals into new areas by simply calling it the Razer Blue Screen. The color panel is designed to provide a wrinkle-free backdrop for use during streaming, as a live background, or for use with virtual backgrounds.

The Blue Screen’s 94-inch height can be rolled down to its base, including folding legs for easy transport or storage when you’re not streaming. That is now available for $149.99 from Razer.com and Razer Stores.
New and updated headphones

The new version of the Razer Kraken Kitty headset, the V2 Pro, builds on Razer’s previous success with its cat-eared audio device by adding rabbit ears (seen above) and bear ears. All three options use Razer’s Chroma RGB platform to glow with 16.8 million colors when gaming or cosplaying.
The audio hardware includes Razer’s 50mm TriForce Titanium drivers and 7.1 digital surround sound, while the headset’s chassis uses hybrid fabric and faux leather padding.

The Razer Kraken Kitty V2 Pro will be available for pre-order in Q4 for $199.99 from Razer and select retailers. It will come in Quartz color versions (the pink version above) and a Black version.
The new models are now fully licensed peripherals for the PlayStation 5. Razer
The newly announced entries in Razer’s Kaira line are now fully licensed for the PlayStation 5. This includes a version of the wired Razer Kaira X, as well as the new wireless Kaira HyperSpeed and Kaira Pro HyperSpeed. .
All three use Razer’s 50mm TriForce drivers, while the wireless models use HyperSpeed 2.4GHz technology.
The Kaira X costs $59.99, while the Kira HyperSpeed is $129.99 and the Kaira Pro HyperSpeed is expected to cost $199.99. All three models are now available at Razer website.

Razer has debuted in the rapidly growing list of truly wireless gaming headsets that offer both Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity. Alike special set of Epos GTW 270 that I recently reviewedHammerhead HyperSpeed headphones can connect via Bluetooth 5.2 or with the included USB-C dongle.
Razer claims the headset and the included charging case deliver 30 hours of audio, although it has included RBG lighting in the Razer logo on the back of each earphone. Both Xbox and PlayStation licensed versions will be available starting November for $149.99.
New colors
Pink fans will be happy to know that Quartz color is coming to the new models. Razer
Razer also announced at the event that Quartz (pink), Mercury (white and gray) and White colors will be coming to additional peripherals on some lines.

New entries in the Quartz product line including the Razer Barracuda wireless headset, the Huntsman V2 TKL keyboard, the BlackShark V2 X wired headset, the Orochi V2 wireless mouse, and the Strider Hybrid mouse pad.
New Mercury and White options will now include Razer Barracuda Mercury Edition (see above), DeathStalker V2 Pro and DeathStalker V2 Pro TKL White Edition keyboard and Basilisk V3 White Edition wireless gaming mouse. All color-changing models will be available before November.
Everything else

In addition to new and updated entries in its core product categories, Razer also debuted a number of less typical products at RazerCon 2022. Among them was a watch created in partnership with Razer. Panerai. The model will be limited to 500 copies and will be sold exclusively through Panerai and stores Panerai.com.
Razer’s second luxury-focused collaboration, with supercar maker Lamborghini, has produced Razer Enki Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition. This special edition gaming chair includes customizations like Alcantara leather, Lamborghini’s signature orange and black colors and the automaker’s shield logo. It also relies on a luxury car valuation, at $1,299.
Razer’s first new software in quite a while aims to be your new wallpaper HQ. Razer
Finally, Razer has launched the Razer Axon app, which offers static and dynamic wallpapers. You can set a wallpaper or a “list” of wallpapers. Either can then be synced to any peripheral using Razer’s Chroma RGB to provide colored lighting that brings your PC background into the mix.
Available images include Razer’s own logos and products, backgrounds from popular gaming franchises, and curated photos. Axon also supports multi-monitor setup.
