University of Illinois at Chicago law professor Jason Kilborn defends himself as some students call for his firing


CHICAGO (WLS) — A legislation professor on the College of Illinois at Chicago is defending himself as some college students name for his firing following accusations he used racial slurs in his educating.

Rev. Jesse Jackson joined members of UIC’s Black Regulation College students Affiliation Thursday to name for the dismissal of Prof. Jason Kilborn.

UIC launched an investigation over a check query that used a redacted model of a racial slur in one among Kilborn’s lessons. UIC’s Workplace of Entry and Fairness discovered Kilborn’s conduct was harassing based mostly on race, and violated faculty coverage

However Kilborn advised ABC7’s Stacey Baca that the whole incident is a large misunderstanding. He stated he was attempting to attach with college students and didn’t imply to offend anybody.
