Uncle Mo Filly Tops Day 1 by FT Midlantic for $320K


The Fasig-Tipton Mid-Atlantic Fall Yearling Sale kicked off October 3 at a steady pace, seeing the horses change hands, including a session that topped $320,000 daughter of Uncle Mo purchased by Legion Bloodstock dealer.

The day was led by Uncle Mo’s mixed-Maryland daughter, who was identified by company representative Scott Mallory as Hip 158, who bred a stout dog. She comes from ‘s family Andina a level 2 winner bet by Singspiel and beat of a level 2 winner twice in Chile, Australia Mia and Andina Del Sur 2018 Florida Oaks (G3T) contest winner who competed in four other 3rd grade events.

At the end of the first day of sale, Fasig-Tipton reported 145 of the 178 rings sold for a total value of $3,947,2000, matching an average price of $27,222 and a median of $14,000. There were 33 horses that failed to meet their reserve with an RNA rate of 18.5%.

During the opening session in 2021, 149 numbers 178 were offered for a total of $4,577,300, establishing an average price of $30,720 and a median of $20,000. 29 juveniles failed to meet their reserves, representing an RNA ratio of 16.2%.

Tomorrow’s trading session begins at 10:00 a.m. ET with Hips 201 – 512 expected to go under the hammer. As of Monday evening, 35 horses had been withdrawn from the second session.
