Ultra Kaiju Monster Breeder Announced Transformation, Coming to Japan This Year
Yesterday’s Nintendo Direct Mini in Japan included several additional announcements for the Switch, and in case you missed it, one of them was Monster Breeder Ultra Kaiju. It is published by Bandai Namco and developed by Koei Tecmo and will launch at some point this year in Japan and Asia. There are no words on a Western release (yet), but it has English subtitles.
As you may have already figured out from the title, this is a collaboration between giant franchise and also the monster farming simulation series, Monster Rancher – which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary. This new game is described as a Kaiju parenting simulator – applying the basic systems of Monster Rancher and Monster Rancher 2 – allows you to lift all types of Ultra Kaiju.
Players will have the ability to raise Kaiju by feeding, training, learning, and adventuring. Then you will fight them and even merge them together. This game will also support NFC technology and IC cards, which can be scanned with the Switch controls. Again, no word on a local release, but if we hear anything we’ll be sure to let you know.
