Ukrainian soldiers demonstrate a remote-controlled missile launcher (Video)

Guns with remote control are always safer to use on the battlefield. Especially when you have to face opponents like tanks or armored vehicles.

Ukrainian soldiers put their technical skills to the test (again) and developed a remote-controlled platform designed to operate handheld missile launchers at long distances.

This is not the first technical innovation to come from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously Ukrainian soldiers have demonstrated the ability to convert car mounted gun luxury handheld modeladapt commercial drones for military useand can even integrate AGM-88 missiles on their MiG-29.

This new technical creation is based on a clever idea that also works as intended: it’s basically a wheeled platform with a rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launcher. The platform can be controlled with a remote control panel and projectiles can be launched at the touch of a button.

The video below was posted by the Strategic Communications Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This mini car also has a camera, and the image from this camera is transmitted to the controller to provide visual feedback to the driver.

Certainly, there are some technical aspects that can be improved in the future, such as the missile launcher’s ability to target by varying its horizontal and vertical angles. However, this custom production machine can work wonders in a close-range scenario where soldiers need to avoid being shot by enemies.
