Britons have finally had enough, after the MET’s attempt to link the heatwave to climate change sparked an unprecedented backlash on social media.

Weather forecasters have been the target of an ‘unprecedented level of trolling’ this month, as keyboard warriors took to social media to accuse TV meteorologists of spreading hysteria during the heat wave.

The BBCTheir weather team said they were flooded with social media comments asking them to ‘try to catch up’, while others questioned the accuracy of their reports as the whole country sank in heat up to 40 degrees Celsius.

Social media trolls appear to have been hit by reports linking the heat wave to secular trends caused by climate changeaccording to the Royal Meteorological Society, who said their forecasters were also targeted alongside forecasters from the Met Office.

According to the Met Office, climate change makes a heatwave 10 times more likely – although the cause cannot be conclusively established.

BBC meteorologist Matt Taylor said he found the extent of his online abuse this month ‘sad’.

He said: ‘Less a tone of abuse than I’ve ever received.

‘I turned it all off for a bit because it became too depressing reading some of the feedback.’

The Royal Meteorological Society also weighed in on the resistance its members received during the heatwave.

The society’s chief executive, Professor Liz Bentley, said members had faced ‘public ridicule, accusations of lying or offers of blackmail’.

WUWT does not tolerate physical threats or violence. But I understand the anger. Britain faces a terrible winter of spiraling price increases and shortages, in my view largely the result of a long-term MET office and climate scare campaign. The BBC has undermined mainstream political support for reliable energy.

My question, what do people who are overcoming abuse and intimidation expect to achieve?

Before reading Climategate, I thought the alarmists were all science scammers, but after reading Climategate, I realized that there is a range of motives. Many if not all of them actually believe. Even if they hide the drop or try to fire open-minded science journal editors, or manipulate data from New Zealand, which shows that MWP is global, they think they are good people. So by no means threatening or abusive throw. People who believe they are good are abused, because they believe their mission to help others is more important than their personal comfort.

So how do we fix the unsustainable green energy mess that MET and BBC have helped create?

In my opinion, the best way is to find and vote for politicians whose priority is to solve the problems of today, rather than politicians whose obsession is what the weather will be like after all. we die. Even if this means voting for the minority party’s candidates.

Please don’t fall for the political praise that a minority candidate voted for in the UK Passing the article system for the first time is a wasted vote. Politicians view minority votes as hawks, the support of minority candidates as their weather bias towards what their voters really want.

As long as mainstream political supporters can encourage you to participate in the mainstream vote, they don’t care if you have some close connections. But a major breakthrough in favor of climate-skeptic candidates would be a real shock to the political system.

Just look at Brexit. Nigel Farage‘S UKIP never achieved significant representation in the Westminster Parliament. But they were close to a breakthrough. The threat of a breakthrough in voter support was enough to convince the then Prime Minister David Cameron to keep Brexit referendum, which Cameron thought would take the matter to bed. Cameron misjudged and lost.

If nobody votes for UKIP, even though they know their candidate is unlikely to win, then in my opinion there will be no Brexit referendum.

The same political formula could work to repair Britain’s broken and expensive energy system. If enough British people vote for politicians whose focus is on today’s issues, even if those candidates don’t win, politicians will panic the reaction. It will no longer matter what the climate scaremongers of the MET and BBC believe or say, if they lose their position of influence.
