The Players Championship features 47 of the world’s top 50 players as part of the 2022 field. The only problem? Those golfers can’t seem to get on the course. With heavy rain and wind raging at TPC Sawgrass, the tournament was essentially delayed with only 34% of the field completing the first 36 holes before Saturday night.
Due to inclement weather, the PGA Tour has yet to announce a time for the rest of the week. The plan is to end on Monday, although the event could extend into Tuesday if there are additional delays over the weekend.
However, the best part of golf season – six consecutive months of top events featuring some of the best golfers in the world – continues in Jacksonville, Florida, at No. 1 in the world. Jon Rahm’s favorite world. Defending champions Justin Thomas and Collin Morikawa, one of the best young players in the world, started the event among the top three on the Caesars Sportsbook odds table.
While attending The Players is a dream for many, just being able to watch the event live from home or the office is a wonderful thing every year and we here at CBS Sports are excited to bring it to life. You get thorough coverage, continuing on Saturday.
Enough talking about it. Here’s how you can watch as much of the 2022 Players Championship as you can throughout the week. Also, check out the rest 2nd round tee when the round ends early on Sunday.
