Trevor Noah sued a New York City hospital and doctor after they allegedly performed surgery on him last year.
Noah sued Dr. Riley J. Williams III and the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. He was a patient there between August 25, 2020 and December 17, 2020, and had surgery on November 23, 2020.
Dr. Williams specializes in knee and elbow surgery, MTO News confirmed.
In court documents, he said the doctors “was negligent and careless in not treating and providing care [him] Noah also accused them of “failing to use approved methods of care and treatment”.
He said he suffered “serious personal injuries” following his surgery.
He also wrote that he was “seriously wounded and in pain; suffered severe neurological shock, mental distress, mental distress, and physical pain; confined to his bed and home for a long periods of time; forced hospital treatment and medical assistance, treatment and care; has been deprived of the right to enjoy life; has been prevented from engaging in his usual work for a long time ; and since some of his wounds are of a permanent nature, he will continue to suffer the same damages in the future.”
