Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker has revealed why he was rushed to the hospital last week.

Writing on Instagram, the 46-year-old married to reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian said he went to the hospital for a colonoscopy on Monday “feeling great”.

“But after dinner, I had severe pain and have been hospitalized ever since.

“During the endoscopy, I was able to remove a very small polyp right in a very sensitive area, usually handled by specialists, which unfortunately damaged the pancreatic duct critically.

“This leads to severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.”

He added: “I am very grateful because with active treatment I am much better now.”

Last Tuesday, Barker was seen admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on a stretcher.

Kardashian, 43, wearing a black tracksuit, is by his side.

On Thursday, his 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker shared a photo on Instagram Her hand is next to her father’s – showing his distinctive tattoo.
