While some of the Chaos gods have cover stories that make perfect sense for their interests in goals like decay and mutation or murder and mutilation (I mean, it’s hard to get the head long for one’s throne in Ikea), Slaneesh is unashamedly ‘big-headed’ (in the middle – staged people like me believe young people can still say, maybe?). This is evident in a new trailer introducing Slaneesh’s Total War: Warhammer 3, wearing hot pink and fleshy underwear.
As the Creative Assembly developers explain in today’s announcement, Slaneesh is “dedicated to the pursuit of excess, gratification, hedonism, pain, and perfection at the cost of any spirituality. any other soul.” The type of guy who plays for sure a game like Succubus (a link for RPS Supporters only, there).
“Commandering their sinister army is the Secret Keeper and Herald of Slaanesh, while the core of their army is formed around cunning and deadly units such as the Daemonettes and Fiends, leaving the Heartseekers alone. and nimble Hellstriders supporting lightning-fast cavalry,” the developers explained. They say this makes them suitable for hit and run tactics, and eliminates the weak and isolated. Their armies then “earn combat money by destroying routing units that are used on three skills that accentuate their playstyle.”
On the campaign map, the Slaneesh player’s excessive devotion can make it difficult for enemies. You can force ‘gifts’ on enemy characters to paralyze them (evil nature, eh?), can coerce vassal factions by seduction, and can capture enemies devotees from battles, through sects, and other ways.
I assume it’s all like that situation at an out-of-control party, where two people keep copulating and aimlessly reaching out to ensnare the big partygoers nearby by writing a bunch of content. y of meat. I might be confused with the movie Society. God, Slaneesh loves Social. I realize that I said that there was a very real risk of calling a god of chaos into existence but so on. He really wants to, and I think he should know that.
Total Warhammer 3 will be out on February 17th. It’s also one of many games coming to Xbox Game Pass for PC in 2022.
