“The first sale of the season is always exciting, and this year in particular, our catalog is a bit larger; we have 833 horses,” said Tod Wojciechowski, sales manager for OBS. “There was a lot of activity in the warehouse, excitement on the field and juice in the air.”
During the four days of horse races, March 14-17, two horses covered the fastest eight-mile run in: 9 3/5: Hip 546, a pony of good magic consignment of Top Line Sales, agents; and Hip 64, a pony of Not this time deposited by GOP Racing Stable. “We had four days of technical demonstrations and the horses performed very well on the track. Two juveniles crossed the fastest quarter mile on: 20 3/5: Hip 406, a flat pony hero , consigned by Tom McCrocklin, agent; and Hip 631, attractive dirty deposit by Omar Ramirez Bloodstock, agent. Six horses crossed a quarter mile in :20 4/5, the second fastest time at that distance.
“I’m very impressed with the minors being Enticed. I don’t think they’ll be coming anytime soon, but there’s an aspirant from last year that I like here,” said special agent Mike McMahon. “Flameaway has three or four individuals here that I like.
