Many of the world’s biggest companies are falling short of their own goals for tackling climate change, according to a study of 25 corporations.

They also often exaggerate or misreport their progressreport by the New Climate Institute.

Google, Amazon, Ikea, Apple and Nestle are among those not changing fast enough, the study alleges.

Corporations are under pressure to cut their environmental impact as more and more consumers want green products.

Several companies told BBC News they disagreed with some of the methods used in the report and said they were committed to taking action to limit climate change.

Study author Thomas Day told BBC News that his team initially wanted to explore good practices in the corporate world, but they were “really surprised and disappointed by the overall integrity of our statements. companies”.

What a shock – all these big companies, like Apple, Google and Amazon, spend a lot of effort doing exercises that are heavier than you, yelling at rivals, in some cases censorship climate skeptics and conservatives, but if this report is accurate they are mostly a bunch of greedy hypocrites. For shame.
