Today’s Google Doodle is celebrating Nowruz 2022 globally.
The Google Doodle on Sunday, March 20, 2022 is celebrating Nowruz 2022- Iranian or Persian New Year. Google Doodle today replaced its homepage logo with a colorful new doodle to celebrate the event and welcome everyone. The Google search page symbolizes the beginning of spring with colorful flowers and bees. People across the globe celebrate the first day of spring and this officially begins the Persian New Year.
Hello everyone on the occasion of Nowruz 2022, today’s Google Doodle writes, “The Northern Hemisphere is saying goodbye to the barren, cold landscapes and welcoming the budding leaves and blooming flowers of spring. Millions of people around the world join festivals, festivals and enjoy the outdoors in celebration of Nowruz, the first day of spring and the official start of the Persian New Year.”
Nowruz can be known as one of the oldest holidays and has a history of more than 3,000 years. Also, Navroz is a Persian word where Nav means ‘new’ and Roz means ‘day’.
The 13-day celebration begins with the equinox when the sun crosses the equator. This broadly symbolizes rebirth and affirmation of life in harmony with nature. Some countries like Afghanistan, Iraq, among others celebrate Nowruz as a holiday.
For many people, common traditions include cleaning the house, visiting friends and neighbors, and preparing traditional dishes such as special desserts, herb rice, and fried fish.
