The Thoroughbred Breeders and Owners Association announced on June 20 that the 37th annual TOBA national awards dinner will be held on September 10 at Keeneland.
“Keeneland is honored to host the TOBA national awards dinner two days before the start of our world famous September 5th Promotion,” said Keeneland President and CEO Shannon Arvin. .
“Keeneland and TOBA not only share a mission to promote Thoroughbred racing, but also have a remarkable historical connection. TOBA’s roots lie partly in the Thoroughbred Horse Association, which was co-founded by Hal Price Headley in in 1916 two decades before he became the driving force in the creation of Keeneland.”
The National Awards Dinner honors owners and breeders from 21 states and Canada. Also recognized as Country Owner of the Year and Finalist Country Owner, Country Breeder of the Year, National Breeder of the Year, Small Breeder of the Year, Broodmare of the Year , Cot Campbell Racing Partner of the Year, TOBA Industry Service Award, Rood & Riddle Horse of the Year, national HBPA announced Horse of the Year crown and recipient of the Robert N. Clay Award.
