Whatever you need to transport, a small truck can handle it. And this seller Toyota Sienna made it even better by upgrading it, unlocking the potential for more adventures than ever before.
Currently for sale above Cars & Bid, this 2004 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited has been fitted with a 3.5-inch fork lifter and BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires with all-wheel drive. And that’s basically the level of modification. Instead of building it into a dedicated camper van, the seller left the rest of the truck behind.
But you can certainly go camping in there if you want. The seller attached a video of him taking it to a terrain park, and while it’s not a Jeep Wrangler, it seems capable enough for most basic camping needs. Then, once you’ve enjoyed your ride, it’ll happily return to the queue after school as a comfortable, practical everyday driver.
That said, if you’re not planning on using it for camping, it may not be the best van for you. The seller also notes that it’s significantly bigger than the non-lifting Sienna he had before. Consider it jacked up on all-terrain tires, that’s not surprising to hear. He also said that there is more noise that you can hear. Oh, the front strut and swingarm also wear out faster than usual.
So why lift a Sienna? According to the seller, it is due to Toyota’s reputation for reliability and cheap spare parts replacement costs. It’s also not a great truck like the Vanagon Synchro, so there isn’t much demand for older Sienna cars, which drives the initial purchase price down. At the time of writing, the highest bid was just $6,600. That’s not bad at all, especially considering how expensive used cars are these days. If you’re looking for a van to go camping or amphibious, this Sienna could be the perfect vehicle to add to your garage.
