This is where fashion editors shop for affordable and luxurious home decor

Between my bachelor’s in Cabo San Lucas and my honeymoon in Europe, it’s safe to say that the first half of the year was filled with travel. But since I don’t have any big getaways with books for the rest of the year (for now), I’m looking for a way to bring my love of travel and discovery to my LA apartment. Lucky for me, Who What Wear Fashion Director Michaela Bushkin got me in Walmart’s Fall lookbook home, perfect for cultivating a globally inspired atmosphere in your living room (or bathroom, kitchen, bedroom — no limits here). This stylish home design features everything from artisan rugs to rattan chairs to textured quilts, so keep scrolling to see the items Michaela is eyeing to spice up her space. It’s like a unique autumn retreat.

“My favorite living rooms have always had a Moroccan rug (or any rug with a geometric pattern). They make such a statement and breathe an uplifting energy into the space. To really lean in to the Marrakesh influence, the rest of the room should feature some fun colors and other desert-inspired accents like an aloe or snake plant.” – Michaela Bushkin, Vice President of Fashion

“I like a neutral bedroom with a relaxing, zen atmosphere reminiscent of a luxury hotel in a warm-weather destination like Tulum. I’ve never actually been there, but I’ve seen photos, okay? (This lamp is everything.)”- prickly skin

“I like bathrooms that are sleek, modern, and generally as minimalist as possible — the kind you usually see in big cities like London or New York. (I’m a city girl!) As long as I I’m happy to have some counter space for makeup, but a few cute touches always add to the aesthetic of a luxury bathroom.” – prickly skin

“The kitchen and dining room are very important to me because I love to cook and entertain my friends for dinner parties, wine nights and lunches. Maybe I’ve spent too much time daydreaming. about a trip to Italy or France this summer, but I like the look and feel of a European bistro. They’re pretty minimalistic, giving off a casual, inviting feel that makes you want to gather around the table to chat. have fun and enjoy better food That’s the look I’m going for in my dining room these cool bistro chairs, sleek gold silverware, colorful dishes, Linen napkins and wildflowers center the table.” – prickly skin
