These Met Gala Accessories Really Steal The Show
It’s all in the details.
The 2022 Met Gala opens May 2 in New York City, marking what some have called the “Super Bowl of Fashion”.
This year’s theme is “In America: An Anthology of Fashion”, according to Vogue, is “the Met’s thoughtful homage to our country’s history.” The celebration’s dress code is “Golded Glamor,” inspired by New York’s Gilded Age, the period from 1870 to 1890.
On the red carpet, fans can expect to see an A-Lister lineup — including event co-hosts Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda—Bringing in breathtaking haute couture creations from the world’s top designers.
But a big show at the Met Gala hardly ends with a gorgeous camisole or traditional ensemble. Over the years, the stars have climbed the steps of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art with some top-notch extras, from ornate hats to wild props.
Katy Perry took off in 2018 by dressing up her Versace gown with a gold chain with giant wings that went above her head and down to the floor.
