These are the electric cars you really want to own

“Even though I no longer need a commuter (WFH), the Cooper SE best fits my desire for an electric vehicle.

“Electric cars fit best as the second (but main) car, and the Cooper SE pretty much fits that mold. Since range is largely dependent on battery size, and battery size is a major factor in the cost of the vehicle, I don’t want to buy a bunch of ranges that I don’t need 95% of the time.

“The Mini’s ~140-mile range is more than enough for a typical day, making a lot of profit for an extra trip to the store or if I forget to plug it in for a night.

“In general, if I’m driving more than 50 miles in a day, I’m driving more than 500 miles that day. I am driving locally or some state away. Rarely do I need 300 mile range where 300 mile range is sufficient.

“Where the range of the Cooper SE isn’t enough for me, so is the range of any other electric car.

“Something like a leaf or a Bolt would suffice, but I prefer the Mini. I liked the Fiat 500e, but it was discontinued. ”

Another case of taking a classic and making it electric. Mini Cooper SE starts at $34,225 and thanks to that, you get 110 miles of range, stylish interiors and iconic exterior styling.
