The Queen poses for a photo at the Windsor horse show – days after missing the opening of parliament | UK News

The Queen was pictured smiling at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, days after missing the Opening of Parliament due to mobility issues.

Wearing sunglasses and a blue cardigan, she was seen from the window of her Range Rover chatting with several people – believed to be officials.

She appeared relaxed, smiling and laughing as she entered the stage as members of the public held up their phones to take pictures.

Several of the Queen’s horses are understood to be making an appearance at the event, which sees the animals run past their paces in a parade ring.

It comes after His Majesty missed the opening of parliament on Tuesday For the first time in 59 years, Prince Charles stepped up to deliver the Queen’s Speech.

A palace statement said it was because she had “intermittent mobility issues” and the decision had been made “in consultation with doctors”.

The Queen was last seen in public at a memorial service for the Duke of Edinburgh in March.
