Prisoner volunteers are helping to expand the program, which is funded by numerous generous donations. Inmates learn to become service dogs and give birth to hundreds of puppies each year.
Not only does this give inmates a sense of purpose, but it also reduces their likelihood of recidivism upon release. What stands out the most, however, is the strong emotional bond that has developed between them and the pups!
