independence reported that an unnamed billionaire rented a yacht worth $2.4 million a week to go to Monaco Grand prix. The ship they chartered was originally commissioned by the late Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen and was first launched in 2003.

“According to Luxurylaunches, the 126-metre vessel – built by German shipyard Lurssen – is the largest yacht at the event, where weekly mooring fees can run up to $150,000.”
When you add all that up, the cost of a race ticket between $500 and $1,500 seems like a drop in the ocean.
