If you haven’t heard of SpaceX’s Starlink satellite dishes, you’ve heard of them long before that.
This is part of the company’s Internet project, and they are busy putting up to 12,000 satellites in low Earth orbit so more and more people can connect.
There are already several Starlink satellite dishes in existence and certainly, many more will be released soon. They were designed to provide Internet, but they seem to provide a convenient place for the cats to rest.
As someone from Canada reported on Twitter, up to five cats are sitting still in his plate at the same time. They weren’t sure how much it could handle.
Aaron Taylor, from Alberta and Saskatchewan, said: ‘Starlink worked great until the cats discovered that the treat gave off a bit of heat on cold days.

Looks like there are others reporting the same thing, so it’s not just a Canadian issue. For example, an official beta tester shared on Reddit:
“I was checking my dish with a thermal sight and it really looked like the whole dish, even the back was warm. So you can [find] animals under or around it in general if it is mounted on the ground. “

It’s not just cats that appreciate warmth. It looks like all sorts of creatures are getting into the dishes and taking advantage of the heat, including birds and rodents. While they can rest, they don’t necessarily nest so as not to disrupt the Internet signal.
