Six-year-old Xander Mellor from Springfield, Illinois, had been diligently saving for 18 months with a single goal in mind: buying a puppy. Every day, when his mother, Natalie Ellenburg, came home from work, he would politely ask her for some spare change. He would then carefully deposit the money into a jar, watching his dream gradually become a reality.

Xander has stopped buying sweets and yummy things because he wants a puppy of his own. When his grandparents hear about his adorable journey, they decide to visit him to make his wish come true!

In this video, Xander happily runs out of the house as soon as he sees his grandparents’ car. His grandmother asks him to close his eyes and hold out his hand to receive the “present” as he approaches the car door.
The little boy “smiled” as he waited for his grandmother’s gift, but his eyes widened in shock when he saw a cute puppy in his arms!

Xander tried to smile gratefully at his grandmother but he couldn’t hold back his emotions for long. The little boy was so overcome with emotion that he ended up crying tears of joy as he adorably hugged his beloved puppy.
