Photography is like a lot of hobbies: you can achieve 80% of your ability with 20% of the effort, but that last 20% of the effort takes up 80% of the effort. And it is in this transition from form to excellence that a lot of photographers lose their passion and fire. As the rate of progress clearly slows down, we begin to feel as though we are reaching a ceiling of our abilities. But it’s important for you to realize that the more you advance in any field, the smaller the difference between each successive level. As you become a more competent photographer, don’t let yourself get discouraged when you start taking smaller and smaller leaps; This is completely natural and to be expected.
